Inspired by the old but still great song “I dont wanna set the world on fire” by The ink spots, I made this distorted typography out of the Belgian type SNV, which is used in our road signages.

Logo and poster for the coolest cafe ever, our own motorcycle-bar on our fortress! The type is made out of elements from an engine: pistons and crankshafts.
Client: Team Attack, motorcycle race-team.
Logo design based on a classic cartoon-style where they show speed.
I cut the logo out with a GCC-plotter (on Flex-media) and pressed it onto the fabric
with a heat-press.

In order to collect money to sponsor their races, Team Attack organised a “dinner-party”. These were the flyers used to select the beverages you ordered.

What started out as a wall-painting, became a vectorised drawing of my man with flower.

“Model” Me.
During my first semester in the study graphic arts at Sint Lukas Brussels, I’ve been focusing on human structures.
Second work: “I call her LouLou’
Together wtih post “Manipulated Photography”
I photographed the root of a plant in different positions. The form becomes a stencil, a model. From the form of the plantroot, I pasted these models on pictures of members of the same family. It creates a huge contrast between the stern pictures and the playfull forms. The forms replace parts of the human body.
When the type gets bigger (in points), the
type gets lighter: the black in the legs of
the letters is absolute (which stands
for an absolute design with few parametres).
The type is based on the three basic
geographical forms:
a circle, a triangle and a rectangle.
Together with the type, I created a yearly and monthly calendar. The design of these books is very strict, a grid was created for every seperate branch (dance, performance, music and video), built out of the same blocks as the type: rectangle, circle and triangle. The horizontal lines of the grid work as a base on which the type is placed and as a pattern on top of all cropped images.

Adjusted logo-design for my masterproject.
I just like the way the stern forms of the letters interact with the playfulness of the changed “O”
A way to make an everyday picture interesting.
